This is a south-facing semi in a conservation area. The proposal needs to respect the existing form of the current building and its attached neighbour to the north.
The proposal is to the rear at ground and first floor with the first floor ‘wrapping’ around the existing building but not detracting from its streetscape.

The proposed structure is lightweight framing to allow for ease of construction and minimize structural stress on the existing building.

The end result is a good sized 4 bedroom home that has several living/family room areas and draws in natural light and has good cross ventilation.
