Lavoni Street, Balmoral

This involved the complete refurbishment and reconfiguration of a family home. Renowned architect Alexander Jolly designed the original house in 1920. The re-planning was sensitive to the original intentions of Jolly’s work – separate intimate spaces that all connect and flow from one to the other. A new ‘living pavilion’ was added that played a secondary role and did not detract from the form of the original house.

Alterations and additions were made to accommodate a growing family and to take advantage of Balmoral and distant headland views. A careful reference to the original house influenced our design down to the smallest detail.
