Existing 2 storey facility of 99 high care beds purpose built in the mid 1970’s with extensions and alterations subsequently.

The brief was to alter the building to current standards and build a new wing to maximize bed numbers. A new wing containing basement car parking with two storeys of accommodation over was proposed. The total facility was for 131 high care beds.

Council opposed the project from the start and rejected DA. Land & Environment Court approved the scheme, which is now built, and operating successfully.
