Kilbride Nursing Home, Rosemeadow

The existing facility has 109 High Care beds many which are in 4 bed configuration with outdated communal bathrooms. The facility has been extensively upgraded and refurbished to meet the current certification requirements and also to meet market expectations.

Our proposal is for two new wings that add 95 beds, being Low Care, High Care and Dementia Care beds. The total accommodation will be 161 beds. Each floor has strategically placed living/dining areas that connect all residence rooms, helping to create a community environment for residence to interact with each other, staff and the outdoors. 30 new underground carparking spaces are being added. A new commercial kitchen and laundry have been incorporated into the design to service the new facility.

The project was completed January 2011 and is fully occupied and is operating successfuly.

The project has subsequently won a Aged Care Association of Australia (ACAA) Building Award 2011.
