The site is a large vacant allotment of 13.68 hectares, immediately adjacent to residential development.
The proposal, DA approved, comprises 244 high care beds in two separate two storey buildings and 108 low care beds in two separate two storey buildings. The buildings would be set in extensive landscaped gardens.
A services building incorporating kitchen, laundry, stores and central administration is part of the proposal.
Extensive ESD principals has to be incorporated as the site is located next to a creek that contains sensitive flora and fauna and backs onto rural land.
